The location of this hotel is very good, right by the lake. Stay in a lake view suite and you can see the sunrise when you wake up. The hotel is also beautifully decorated and very clean. The service is satisfactory, and check-in and check-out are very convenient. The breakfast tastes very good, and the various sets can satisfy the taste buds. In addition to coffee, there is also tea in the morning. The waiter is very polite. Satisfied👍

Stayed here for 2 nights with my family including an infant. Room was pretty spacious. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately, there seems to be bed bugs or dust mites on the floor carpet as I got plenty of bites around my ankle. Went ahead to inform the front desk but I was told that there were absolutely no bed bugs in the hotel. Overall room is ok except for the cleanliness.

Great location in the heart of Rotorua, right next door to the lake and Eat Street restaurants and came highly recommended to us, but left us a little disappointed - especially for the price. Room a little outdated, holes in the blinds which let the light in, dirty grout in the shower and the shower head was broken and the glasses were dirty. I never ever leave a bad review, but after a great experience at 4 other different hotels across NZ this trip, the front desk lady on arrival at the Novotel was not the friendliest - it felt like we were an inconvenience to her. It was check in time and she was the only staff member on with a queue of people. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable.

Room was very disappointing. We thought we would be staying in the original hotel building however our room was in an additional newer building down the road. The room has a poor layout, furniture was worn, carpet was dirty, curtain rail rusting, poor tiling and painting. Did not have the historic special feeling we expected. Photos looked 4 stars, room looked 1 star in the flesh. The room was expensive compared to other options in town. We couldn't believe it and wanted to cancel our 2nd night. Staff were great but the room was not what we wanted

A very disappointing hotel. The price is very expensive compared to other local wines. The price-performance ratio is poor. But the location is excellent. Unfortunately, it did not make good use of the location. The most serious thing is that the hygiene is very poor and can even be bad. The overall service is basically good. It is really a pity for this hotel.

Clean and nice deco room, lovely water view, spacious bathroom, however, the facilities such as gym and cleanliness in public areas can be improved. As to location, if you drive, that’s no a problem at all, would love to recommend this resort.

Children are not allowed, only 16 years old and above can be accommodated! Suitable for honeymoon couples! In New Zealand, don't think about breaking the rules of soft grinding and hard foaming. It is a rule not to allow children under the age of 16 to stay!

The hotel is very nice and I want to come to the second time. Location is close to the lake, downtown, shopping malls are very convenient to eat. The hotel is motel style and the car is conveniently located at the door. The facilities in the room are complete, the tableware is complete, and the stove is full of fire to make Chinese food. The bed is comfortable to sleep, moderately soft and hard. There is a heated swimming pool, and the water temperature is roughly 32 degrees in the summer at 28 degrees. The hot spring pool has a strong smell of sulfur, which is much more authentic than the hot springs in the country. It is just a simple environment, one pool and one room, two in total. The hotel rents bicycles for free and is also very good value. New Zealand bicycles are planned to have a dedicated road, which is another way to visit in addition to hiking. The hotel staff is very nice and welcoming. There are also some shortcomings. Because of the hot springs, the air has a sulphur smell. But it didn't take long to stay, but it was very comfortable to ask, which was good for rhinitis and pharyngitis. The room is a little smaller. There is only one window on the ground floor where we live. The ventilation is slightly worse. The actual stay for three days is not serious. It is still under the premise of cooking in the room.
