Hanoi Hotels with Airport Shuttle

It was my first time traveling to Vietnam. There were many things I was not used to. The most gratifying thing was that I stayed at Capella. The theme concept runs through every detail. Good design is pleasing to the eye. It was also nice to be in a daze in the hotel every day. It was indeed a bit noisy, but the service and design made me turn a blind eye.

The hotel is very new, the room is spacious, there is a small balcony, and the facilities are sufficient. It is about a 20-minute drive from the old town. It is probably faster to take a motorcycle to the old town during the day. It is close to the West Lake, about a 15-minute walk. There are many coffee shops by the lake. It is not far from the Lotus Buffet. At the same time, because it is far from the old town, the one-day tour to Halong Bay generally does not provide pick-up and drop-off, and you have to go to the old town to gather by yourself. The hotel staff are very kind and patient, and the front desk English is also good, so there is no communication difficulty. (I don’t know if they can speak Chinese) The fragrance in the room is too strong, and the nose is a bit uncomfortable. If the doors and windows are open, there will be small flying insects at night. If they are not opened, the fragrance plus the smell of new furniture will be a bit uncomfortable. There are many dogs barking outside at night, especially loudly, and they keep barking for hours. There is also a wolf-like howling sound. I haven’t fallen asleep yet at 1:30 in the morning. (The staff said that it is not like this usually, but it was particularly strange on the day I went there, barking all night 😓)

I had an amazing experience staying at this hotel! The location is perfect, nestled in the Old Quarter and just steps away from the Hoan Kiem lake and night market, yet without the usual restrictions on vehicle access. The highlight for me was the stunning pool and the sky bar, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city. It’s a great spot to unwind and take in the beauty of Hanoi from above. The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive. They even arranged a hassle-free airport pickup for only $16, which was a great convenience. The only minor downside was some construction happening next door, but it didn’t significantly affect my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its prime location, excellent amenities, and incredible views!

Clean but not very well maintained. We stayed in room 501 and the door cannot be closed properly without locking as the beam where the latch of the door knob hooks on was worn and only the door lock could latch it in place properly. The seams around the floor of the walls came off too. It's an old hotel but I was expecting a better maintained establishment as we stayed in another hotel few days back and that was better maintained and they both costs around the same price. However, Splendid Grand is located in the central of Old Quarter. The staff were quite good in service, except the one that helped bring your luggage to your room and stood there expecting tips. From a country whereby tips giving is not a normal culture, this is quite weird given the blatant expectation.

Situated in the Thợ Nhuộm area, the hotel is close to major attractions like Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter, making it a convenient base for exploring Hanoi. The neighborhood also features several local eateries and cafes, enhancing the authentic experience. Such as a charming nearby bakery offering fresh pastries and coffee. Additionally, a nearby Circle K convenience store. With its modern facilities, excellent location, and warm, attentive staff, the hotel provides a stylish, convenient, and relaxing stay for travelers in Hanoi.

My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was not the experience we were hoping for. The hotel’s facilities are quite old and don’t match the pictures shown online. The gym, swimming pools, and private pools were especially disappointing – they felt neglected and depressing. The whole place is in desperate need of an upgrade. One of the scariest moments during our stay was when we returned to our room and found the door to the room next door unlocked. The balcony was open, and there was something under the blanket on the bed. We were understandably alarmed, so we reached out to the staff, who told us it was under repair. A heads-up about this beforehand would have been appreciated to avoid the unnecessary panic. The bellman was the only staff member we saw doing most of the work, and he looked extremely tired. We genuinely hope the hotel isn’t understaffed and that they’re taking care of their employees. When we reached out to reception about minor issues, like not being sure if the shower head worked, it seemed like he was the only one dealing with everything. It’s clear the staff is overworked, which made the whole experience feel less enjoyable. Additionally, the heater for the shower wasn’t very warm, which made taking a shower uncomfortable. It’s frustrating when basic amenities like this aren’t functioning properly, and it added to the overall disappointment. On a positive note, the food at the hotel was excellent. They offer a variety of options, including Japanese, Hong Kong cuisine, a huge slab of cheese, and delicious Vietnamese dishes. If you’re staying here, the food is definitely something to look forward to. The hotel is also located a bit outside of the city center, so if you prefer a quieter and less busy environment, that’s a plus. However, considering everything, I don’t think I would recommend this hotel, especially given the issues with the facilities, staff workload, and room conditions. There are definitely better options out there for the price.

Absolutely a hidden gem in Hanoi! This hotel is a fantastic stay and the service of the staff is top notch! I’ve stayed twice here now and will definitely choose again. The location next to the coffee shops in the train street is such a bonus! It’s a classy boutique must stay for anyone wanting a localized experience, genuine caring staff and a great stay! Walking distance to the cathedral and old area! Reminds me of the Great Gatsby!

Our stay at M Village Hotel Tho Nhuom was fantastic! The staff were excellent and very attentive, reaching out via WhatsApp before our arrival to confirm our check-in time. Communication throughout our stay was seamless. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade featuring a sliding door and a charming mini garden view—it was absolutely beautiful. The bed was huge, and the TV offered plenty of channels. The toilet and bathroom were separate, which was convenient, and the hotel provided a washer and dryer in the lobby next to the elevator. The location was perfect—within walking distance of most Hanoi attractions and just a 1-minute walk from Hoa Lo Prison. The lobby was stylish, featuring a co-working space, and the price was incredibly affordable. I’d definitely stay here again whenever I visit Hanoi in the future!

Location is not good, but all the others were excellent! Foods are delicious, Services are touching enough, and facilites are convenient to use. And room condition was so good. If I visit Hanoi one more time, I will book this hotel without any doubt.

Our stay at Vinhomes was very pleasant and comfortable. The owner was quick to respond and update regarding the check in process. Most amenities were provided aside from toothbrushes/toothpaste, which was great for us as we had quite a bit of laundry to be washed. Location was just 3 mins walk to Vincom shopping mall where all necessities and shopping can be done! Really enjoyed our stay at Vinhomes, will be back next time :)
